Digital

Citizenship

Teachthought.com (a group "supporting educators in innovation in teaching and learning for a 21st-century audience") defines Digital Citizenship as:

“The quality of habits, actions, and consumption patterns that impact the ecology of digital content and communities.”

OR

“the self-monitored habits that sustain and improve the digital communities you enjoy or depend on.”

At NHS we use Digital Citizenship developed by Common Sense Media and engage students with the material through an interactive presentation.  . The 5 topics we covered this school year can be found below in a self guided style presentation.

Common Sense Media's whole  K-12 curriculum can be found here for those that are interested in additional materials / lessons.
